BLACKPINK’s Rosé Reportedly Rejects Chinese Milk Tea Endorsement Deal Worth Millions

BLACKPINK member Rosé has continued to see her popularity rise in recent years. Following the global success of her hit song “APT” with Bruno Mars, her solo music career has also gained recognition around the world. Recently, South Korean media reported that the 29-year-old star turned down an endorsement deal worth 10 billion Korean won (around USD 7.4 million) from a Chinese milk tea brand, sparking discussion on Chinese social media. Some Netizens questioned the amount and decision to hire a foreign celebrity over local artists.

According to reports, a well-known Chinese milk tea brand had approached Rosé with an endorsement deal. Sources claim that the negotiations did not fall through over the fee. Rather, Rosé’s team was concerned that they would not have sufficient control over the final look and feel of the advertisement and its promotional direction. Many people have speculated that the milk tea brand in question could be Chagee, which has been expanding into the South Korean market in recent years. However, neither the brand nor Rosé’s agency has responded to the rumors.

In the past, Rosé is said to have also terminated a collaboration project with an international champagne brand after nearly a year of preparation. According to insiders, the reason was that the special-edition champagne bottle did not meet her aesthetics. Fans are supportive of her decision to make choices based on her own standards.
