Sun Yihan Reveals Birth of Baby Boy in Shocking Announcement, Prompting Some Fans to Leave

Annie Sun Yihan, who acted in her first drama as Teng Tangjing in Meteor Garden 2018 and has amassed a cult following for her role in Couple of Mirrors that hinted at a queer-themed story with co-star opposite Zhang Nan, has just shocked many when she announced that she has become a mother. The 28-year-old actress reveals that she has given birth to a baby boy on July 22, 2026 through the identity of the child’s father remains a mystery.

Sun Yihan shared a series of photos on social media, including maternity portraits, a picture of herself holding her newborn, and an image of the baby’s hospital bracelet. She captioned the post: “Officially a mom!” She added, “I went through the bravest day of my life. From now on, I’m not afraid of anything. Once again, I’m in awe of the greatness of every mother.” Prior to the announcement, Sun had never publicly revealed that she was dating, married, or pregnant.

Because the news came so unexpectedly, some questioned whether the pregnancy was real. In response, Sun Yihan posted photos of herself exercising while pregnant, clearly showing her baby bump. The actress also has many fans of her GL-couple pairing with Zhang Nan who had been pushing for the season 2 of Couple of Mirrors, but feel it won’t happen anymore.
