Dong Sicheng (Winwin) has announced the end of his collaboration with SM Entertainment, his agency of 10 years. Following the expiration of his contract on July 9, 2026, Winwin officially concludes all activities as a member of NCT and WayV. The Chinese member of the group has become the next to depart the agency this year after Mark Lee and Thai member Ten. The decision was mutually agreed upon, with statements released by SM Entertainment, NCT’s official accounts, Winwin, and his personal studio.
In a heartfelt letter reflecting on the past decade, the 28-year-old singer–actor who has been building up his showbiz career in China looked back on his journey from a K-pop trainee to now. Winwin also thanked SM Entertainment and the staff for giving “the young, inexperienced me a starting point.” He reflected on debuting, performing on stage for the first time, traveling the world, and meeting fans, adding that without those opportunities, “many people probably wouldn’t know me, and I wouldn’t have met so many people who love and support me.”
Explaining his decision, he shared that over the years he had gradually become clearer about the path he wanted to pursue, finding a balance between acting and performing while taking the time to carefully develop his own work. He also wished SM Entertainment, his fellow teams, and all of the members “nothing but success and a bright future.” Finally, he thanked the fans who have stood by him throughout the years, saying they had crossed distances and borders to support him through every stage of his career.
