Bernice Liu who recently went public with her romance with 70-year-old businessman Frederick Lui Lai Cheung recently went on an online talk show with host Sharon Chan to share her views on relationships. The 47-year-old Canadian-born Hong Kong actress-turned-entrepreneur surprised many when she confirmed her romance with the billionaire tycoon who was 23 years older than her. She also said that age doesn’t matter for her as what’s important is that two people get along. On future plans, Bernice admitted that she once hoped to get married when she was younger. However, after experiencing more of life, she now believes personal happiness is more important. She also said finding someone who can accompany her and accommodate her busy schedule is not easy.
Marriage rumors sparked due to a photo she shared that had the message, “Love B” written in the sky, which some assumed was a wedding proposal. She explained that the message was written by an aircraft and she had simply taken a photo after noticing it. The airline company later saw her post and thanked her for sharing it. Asked whether she would appreciate such a gesture from a potential suitor, Bernice said she enjoys romance but it’s quite extreme. Regardless, she believes people thoughtful gestures should be treasured. However, she stressed that the letter “B” in the photograph really had nothing to do with her.
