Singer-actor Stanley Yau is set to usher in his biggest project yet, with the highly anticipated drama Kidnap Game that features a pan-Asian collaboration of stars like Kentaro Sakaguchi and Lee Joon-gi, premiering this October. Meanwhile, his personal life is also entering a new chapter. According to Hong Kong media, the 36-year-old star is set to wed his longtime girlfriend, host Alina Lee, by the end of October, making him the first member of Cantopop boy band MIRROR to get married.
The singer successfully proposed to Alina in February after nine years of dating. Although the couple have been actively preparing for their wedding, they had kept the exact date and location under wraps until news about it broke recently. According to reports, the couple have decided not to hold a wedding banquet in Hong Kong. Instead, Stanley is expected to travel to a Southeast Asian destination later this month for the ceremony. His MIRROR bandmates are also reportedly set to fly out to attend the wedding.
The couple have already completed traditional pre-wedding preparations, including the ‘guo da li’ ceremony and recently dropped a preview by sharing behind-the-scenes footage from their pre-wedding photoshoot, which took place in March. The shoot saw the couple posing against spectacular snowy landscapes and volcanic craters. Stanley even shouted, “I love you” to Alina. The photoshoot also incorporated one of the couple’s favorite activities, snowboarding. Alina looked stunning in a white wedding gown, while Stanley wore a black suit, all while riding their snowboards.
