Cantopop superstar, Gloria Tang, aka G.E.M., and her stylist boyfriend, Mark Ngai, are rumored to have secretly tied the knot at a church in New York. When asked about the marriage, G.E.M.’s management company responded, “We do not comment on artists’ private lives.” Nevertheless, the ambiguous response “neither confirming nor denying” has led many to believe that the longtime couple have indeed become husband and wife.
Consequently, Mark Ngai’s wealthy family background has also come under the spotlight. His maternal grandfather is prominent businessman Wong Kwok-sing, who was previously married to actress Rosamund Kwan. His mother reportedly runs an upscale Italian restaurant in Hong Kong, while his younger sister, Joyce Ngai, previously competed in the Miss Hong Kong pageant and is now a television host.
G.E.M. and Mark were first photographed holding hands in Tokyo in 2017 and officially confirmed their relationship in 2018. Over the years, Mark has served as her personal stylist, accompanying her throughout her numerous concert tours.
