BLACKPINK member Rosé has continued to see her popularity rise in recent years. Following the global success of her hit song “APT” with Bruno Mars, her solo music career has also gained recognition around the world. Recently, South Korean media reported that the 29-year-old star turned down an endorsement deal worth 10 billion Korean won (around USD 7.4 million) from a Chinese milk tea brand, sparking discussion on Chinese social media. Some Netizens questioned the amount and decision to hire a foreign celebrity over local artists.
According to reports, a well-known Chinese milk tea brand had approached Rosé with an endorsement deal. Sources claim that the negotiations did not fall through over the fee. Rather, Rosé’s team was concerned that they would not have sufficient control over the final look and feel of the advertisement and its promotional direction. Many people have speculated that the milk tea brand in question could be Chagee, which has been expanding into the South Korean market in recent years. However, neither the brand nor Rosé’s agency has responded to the rumors.
In the past, Rosé is said to have also terminated a collaboration project with an international champagne brand after nearly a year of preparation. According to insiders, the reason was that the special-edition champagne bottle did not meet her aesthetics. Fans are supportive of her decision to make choices based on her own standards.

Her brand, her choice. Nothing to discuss. Such leaks are such to use her name to create more discussions online. Typical tactics used by some companies. Stop dragging Rose into this… she never even agreed.

I don’t know much about Rose, but her marketing style and image remind me of Paris Hilton and Trump’s daughter somewhat. I don’t know how to describe it other than: youngish, blonde and expensive? Is she known more for her brand than talent?
I remember hearing the song she rapped on with Bruno Mars and I think he did most of the song? She was pretty in the posters and music video but I found her rap voice grating and harsh, not enjoyable to listen to.
It’s just my opinion and I know many people enjoy different vocal styles for rap, I happen to enjoy more melodic or rhythmic voices in rap like the on pitch rythms of Eminem or the smooth casual style of Snoop. Just a personal preference.
Although APT was played everywhere she didn’t really stand out to me enough for me to want to hear more from her. Am I missing out?

Her Brand, it is her agency and her decision. There should be no discussion as this business traction did not even go thru. Typical tactics used by some company to blow out something out of nothing. Create storms online just to get more visibility. She may just choose not to work with them because she dont like the company or their products. She may not want to endorse products just for money if she does not like them.

The simple reason is that the endorsement offer was not huge enough. If it was for something as noble as she doesn’t like the company or the products, she wouldn’t have engaged in a discussion with them in the first place, let alone a long negotiation. And, yes, most of them do it for the money.
Du
they all do it for money it is part of business model behind celebrity/singer/actor/idol career. Why is that a problem? They work hard to become highly visible and then charge others that want to be visible through their efforts. Visibility does not just happen it is carefully created and paid for. Pls don’t tell my you’re buying into marketing narrative they do it ‘as they believe in product/cause/stc’

My comments are no longer visible. I wonder what happened?
