Bao Beier has become the subject of what was initially a blind item by famous paparazzo Liu Dachui, who alleged that a successful actor is having an affair. Footage released subsequently shows Bao Beier and a red-haired woman reportedly checked into the same hotel in August when the 42-year-old actor was away filming. That evening, the two were seen dining at the same hotpot restaurant and later returning to the hotel separately, one after the other. Upon returning to the hotel, Bao Beier allegedly appeared outside her room three minutes later. Paparazzo claims that Bao Beier carefully pulled the corridor curtains before entering the room. He allegedly remained inside for more than seven hours, leaving at around 8 a.m. the next morning to return to his own room.
His Past Comes Under Scrutiny
While the allegations have not been verified, and some say the footage nor the claims cannot establish that an affair took place, the recent expose has put the spotlight on Bao Beier’s past. He and actress-host Bao Wenjing registered their marriage in 2014 and held their wedding ceremony on March 30, 2016 in Bali. Their two children, a daughter and son, were born on March 30, 2015 and May 20, 2025 respectively.
Bao Beier has previously faced similar controversies. In 2019 and 2021, he was linked to cheating allegations and his studio took legal action in response. In March 2023, footage showed Bao with a short-haired woman. He later said the woman was his wife, Bao Wenjing, although some questioned the explanation. Bao Beier and Bao Wenjing met at Beijing Film Academy in 2005 and began their long-term romance. In the past, Bao Wenjing had also publicly lashed out at a woman calling her a “shameless mistress” in now-deleted posts and telling her husband “I’m willing to trust you one more time.” Meanwhile, even the past controversy that occurred at his wedding made the rounds online again. Back then, the actor and his groomsmen received backlash for going overboard in “pranking” Liu Yan who’s a bridesmaid. His side has not responded to the new allegations.
