Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue has announced his divorce from wife Sarah Wang, bringing an end to their nearly nine-year marriage. On July 20, 2026, the 44-year-old actor shared the news on social media, “We have reached a mutual understanding and respect and wish each other the best in our life’s choices. Thank you for everything you’ve done as a mother and as my wife. From now on, we will always be family.” Shortly afterward, Sarah Wang also released her own statement, saying the two had both grown over the years. Although they were no longer husband and wife, she said they would always remain family. The former couple also confirmed that they will continue to co-parent their two children. Their son, Cody Yue, was born in 2018, while their daughter, Celeste Yue, was born in 2020.
Shawn Yue and Sarah Wang first went public with their relationship in late 2016, after they were photographed together on several occasions. They announced their marriage on December 5, 2017. Rumors of marital trouble first surfaced a few years ago after fans noticed Yue had removed photos of Wang from his social media accounts though he appeared to dismiss the speculation by posting a family photo in 2024. Nearly two years later, Shawn Yue has now confirmed that the marriage has come to an end, emphasizing that they remain committed to raising their children together.
