South Korean actress Moon Geun-young, affectionately known as the nation’s “Little Sister,” having grown up in the public eye as a child actress in classics like Autumn in My Heart surprised fans by announcing through a handwritten letter that she is now married. She wrote, “I’ve met someone with whom I can walk the ever-changing path of life together, share the worries and joys we’ve experienced, and rely on one another through difficult times.” Moon Geun-young, 39, has married musical actor Jeong Pyeong, who is seven years her senior.
Rather than concern or surprise, she asked fans for their warm congratulations and support, thanking them for always cheering her on. She also promised to return in the future “with even better work.” The two had worked together on Bachi, a creative collective led by the actress who served as director. True to their private nature, the relationship remained under wraps that even friends were reportedly unaware they were dating. Jeong Pyeong made his debut in 2007 and is best known for his work in theater and musical productions. Instead of holding a public wedding ceremony, the couple celebrated their marriage with a small family gathering.

Congratulations! I’ve loved her since Autumn in My Heart. I think she’s a great actress and I am surprised she hasn’t had a bigger career. She may have done more behind the scenes stuff that I’m just not aware of though.
