A Shop for Killers 2 is set to premiere on July 22, 2026 with its original cast led by Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun returning for the new season. With the story expanding on a global scale, the cast is joined by Japanese stars Masaki Okada and Hyunri. The 8-episode Disney+ original picks up after the events of Season 1, with Jeong Ji-an taking over the mysterious shopping mall while reuniting with her uncle Jeong Jin-man who had faked his death. Together, they face off against the powerful assassin organization known as Babylon. Season 2 sees Ji-an evolve from a survivor on the run into the new leader of the shopping mall, fighting alongside her uncle rather than relying on his protection.
The first season of A Shop for Killers, which premiered in 2024, is currently airing again on MBC’s Friday-Saturday slot, further building excitement for Season 2. The teaser has already generated buzz, with 44-year-old Lee Dong-wook turning heads with his impressive physique while teasing the show’s upgraded action scenes. To prepare for the role, Lee reportedly underwent intensive combat training and performed his stunts with minimal use of stunt doubles. Season 2 is once again directed by Lee Kwon, who returns with a cinematic visual style and fast-paced storytelling. The production team has also hinted that if A Shop for Killers 2 proves successful, the story could continue with A Shop for Killers 3.
