Huang Zitao Slams Dentist for Secretly Photographing Him

Chinese singer and actor Huang Zitao has publicly criticized a dental clinic after details of his treatment were allegedly photographed and shared online without his consent.

A person with the handle “dentist (牙e)” allegedly posted information about Huang Zitao on WeChat Moments. The dentist shared two photos of the actor lying in a dental chair during treatment and the caption, “Thank you, Mr. Huang Zitao, for your trust. After doing 16 veneers for him, he came back again for an inlay procedure.” The post quickly spread beyond the person’s social circle and was reposted across social media.

In response, Tao reprimanded the clinic and wrote, “If it weren’t for Dr. Wu, who treated me before he passed, because I value old relationships and wanted to go back and have my teeth done, you people *** secretly photographed me and posted this private information without my permission. Who I am and what I do are completely irrelevant! Secretly taking photos of me and spreading them without my consent, frankly speaking, it shows a complete lack of basic decency and professionalism. Have some shame if you’re going to do business.”

It’s certainly not the first time the 33-year-old star has gotten mad at someone. Majority of online commenters condemned what happened especially given the blatant invasion of privacy many public figures face and healthcare professionals having a duty to protect patient information.
