Reen Yu has signed with a new management company on April 11, 2026 to finally restart her acting career. The 38-year-old actress left showbiz since she married Vic Chou in 2015 and gave birth to their daughter in 2016. The two had met while starring in the Taiwanese drama Black & White in 2008.
Through signing with her new agency, the actress revealed she is “open to various forms of collaboration,” perhaps one with her husband Vic Chou who also took on new ventures since last year with the F✦FOREVER concert. Reen Yu who stayed largely away from the spotlight since she withdrew from the entertainment industry was recently spotted with her daughter, now 9 years old, attending th F4 concert in Shenzhen last March. Recent photos of her in a white cropped tank and jeans have netizens saying she has “hardly aged in ten years” and that she’s “looking better than ever.” Her first project is reportedly in the works, though her role has not yet been revealed.
Fans are supportive of her courage to “step out of her comfort zone” and restart her career. Vic Chou once revealed in an interview that his wife has a low-key yet independent personality, and that her decision to return to acting has the full support of the family.
