As a global ambassador for Dior, Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat was scheduled to travel to Paris for the Dior Fall Winter 2026 show on March 3. However, her studio just announced that “due to force majeure circumstances,” she would no longer be able to attend, extending apologies to those who were looking forward to her appearance. The statement added, “Although Dilraba, her team, and the Dior team never gave up and made every possible effort to try different solutions, the reality of the situation prevented her from flying to Paris as originally planned.” Mathilde Favier, Dior’s international PR director, also shared the statement, while Dilraba’s agency Jaywalk Studio emphasized that she is “safe and well” and that “she and her team are together and looking after one another.”
Dilraba Stranded in Dubai

While the studio did not specify the circumstances, it is understood that Dilraba had a layover in Dubai. Following the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates closed its airspace beginning February 28, grounding flights and reportedly leaving her among those stranded. Staff later shared that Dilraba is already at a “safe location” and it’s believed that return arrangements via a third country are being coordinated.
The situation has since sparked backlash, with some questioning her studio’s decision to have the actress transit via Dubai despite a prior security alert from China’s Embassy in the UAE on February 27 and reports that other members of Dilraba’s team such as the makeup artist already had direct flights to Paris. Others defended that a transit stop was a reasonable choice at the time to ease long-haul travel fatigue. Nonetheless, criticism also arose over the studio’s three-day delay in addressing the matter. Many fans are simply hoping to see the actress safe and sound.
Update (March 4):
Dilraba took to social media to say that she is safe. She wrote, “I want to let everyone know that I’m safe. My team and I are all safe now, and the company has already handled and arranged everything properly. We’re all doing well, so please don’t worry. I’m very sorry for causing everyone concern, and thank you for your care and support. I hope everyone stays safe and well.”
