Martial arts superstar Jet Li has been absent from the screens for many years, but fans still get the occasional update from his life on social media which is also something quite new. When he first joined Douyin earlier in the year, the 62-year-old star made quite a splash, gaining over 3 million followers very quickly whilst showcasing his more relatable side. Since then, he’s actually been pretty consistent when it comes to updating fans about the happenings in his life. However it seems his latest post over the weekend showing himself resting on a hospital bed was a cause of concern for many. Thankfully, it looks like he’s already been discharged today and in good spirits too!
“Going through another unexpected life challenge” he previously captioned. With not a lot of details to go on with, fans were extra concerned over how Jet Li appeared to be very uncomfortable whilst on bed rest. Whether it’s for a new injury – he’s currently filming Blades of the Guardians with Wu Jing and Nicholas Tse, or a complication from his various old injuries and health concerns, we don’t really know. That said, he did confirm that it wasn’t anything serious. “There’s a problem with the hardware, so I’m returning it to the factory for repair. Thank you for your concern. Don’t worry too much about me…”
On August 18, the 62-year-old finally shared the update fans have been waiting for: “Thank you again for your concern and well-wishes. I’m sorry to have caused you all this worry. I’m leaving the ‘factory’ now, so I’m off to have something delicious to eat. Knife-cut noodles are still the yummiest! It’s lunchtime now, hope everyone eats a good meal! I wish you all good health, safety, and happiness.”
