Feud actress Bai Lu is fighting back against obsessive fans who’ve gone too far. This week, the actress’ team released a statement warning sisheng fans of overstepping boundaries after one too many incidents of harassment and the invasion of her privacy. Recent reports of constant late night phone calls on her personal number from haters certainly didn’t help. It was perhaps, the straw that broke the camel’s back because earlier today (August 4th), her team threatened to file a lawsuit and said they will be pursuing legal action and will no longer be tolerating such harassment.
Supposedly, two haters were boasting about calling Bai Lu’s personal phone at around 4 a.m. and even shared a recording as “proof”. In the alleged sound clip, a woman can be heard saying ‘hello’ repeatedly and then hanging up when no one responded. In another clip, a woman can be heard saying “oh wrong number” in a tired voice which seems to suggest she’d clearly been woken up.
Actions Have Consequences
In their statement, Bai Lu’s team confirmed evidence has already been turned over to the police for further investigation. These include unsanctioned surveillance and covert filming from certain individuals whilst she was filming on set as well as persistent calls on her personal phone.
“Please immediately cease all activities infringing on the artist’s privacy which disrupts their (personal) lives. These include stalking, shadowing, lurking, following and secretly photographing them and also making harassing phone calls!” They also condemned any illegal attempts to obtain, leak or spread Bai Lu’s private information publicly. Lest they want to see themselves slapped with a hefty court case, her team warned they won’t be tolerating individuals who persist with the harassment.
