Chinese actors Tian Xuning and Zi Yu became overnight sensations thanks to the success of their BL hit Revenged Love. But just like Tian Xuning who has faced recent controversy, Zi Yu found himself the subject of several accusations. According to her (@Paris梨lii), she lost contact with Zi Yu and suspects his phone was probably taken away by his agent. “I have repeatedly tried many ways to contact him, but to no avail.” The reason why she’s now coming forward to share their intimate chats and photos was because she wants him to come out and admit everything he has done and apologize.
Amongst her allegations, she said he cheated on his ex – his former manager, whilst dating her. Then she also claims his current (new) manager didn’t appear to trust her and even threatened her to stay away. The accusations led to a late night apology from the actor on July 23 where he also announced he will be temporarily stepping back from the spotlight. “It was my fault” he said.
Zi Yu Says He Takes Full Responsibility
“I’m sorry to have everyone see this, and I’m even more sorry to you @Paris梨lii, to have caused you pain, forcing you to come to me in this way.” In his statement, Zi Yu readily admitted that his own failings in handling work stress and personal issues was a big factor in the breakdown of their relationship. “It was my fault and I should’ve found a better way to communicate with you and handle our relationship better.” He said that whilst the decision to end their relationship was made when both of them were very emotional, he said he wanted to respect her feelings and her decision. Nonetheless he says he accepts his part for whatever hurt he caused in their breakup.
As for Paris’ accusations regarding his agent, he said that there were indeed some misunderstandings that happened. But regardless, her being forced to make a public statement as her last avenue was a fail on his end to properly deal with their personal problems privately. “I can’t deny that during the final stage of the relationship, my avoidance, silence and irresponsible handling caused her irreparable hurt. I admit I didn’t have the courage to face the problem and her pain, and I also chose the worst way to go about it.” Likewise, he says he fully accepts his behaviour in the end was both a fail and wrong, and that he takes full responsibility for his actions.
Zi Yu said he will be taking some time off after finishing his contracted projects to reflect, to grow and to learn how to better balance his work and personal life. “I will try to better myself and start again. Thank you everyone”.
She Claims Zi Yu Just Broke Up with Her
According to Paris, she met the actor whilst working in a clothing store. Whilst on their KTV date, he kissed her and confessed his love. She said Zi Yu claimed to be single when in fact he had been dating his agent for two years. He broke up with his agent girlfriend at the end of 2024, but not before she forced him to break up with Paris on the grounds of outing their secret relationship to the public. Paris also claimed Zi Yu blocked her for a time because of his ex.
When Zi Yu ended the relationship in October and changed agencies, they were able to date freely at the beginning of 2025. However with Zi Yu’s drama Revenged Love became uber popular, new issues cropped up with his new agent who she claimed didn’t trust her.
Paris said the new agent threatened her not to contact him again and that her numbers was blocked when she (Paris) couldn’t contact him. She claimed she almost had a mental breakdown over all this. On July 23, she said she received a message from Zi Yu wanting to break up but said that she doubted whether it really came from him. She also claims she came forward to explain the situation first before any move will be made by his management agency to discredit her.
Fans React to the News
Since last night’s bombshell, some fans have already starting unfollowing Zi Yu. A fan club account of his even posted, “Run away.” His account, which originally had over 6.06 million followers is now down to 5.86 million, hemorrhaging over 200,000 followers. It doesn’t help that more accusations have cropped up like influencer Nai Huang Bao (奶黄包) with Zi Yu’s alleged dating timeline of different women and alleged cheating just among the many trending hashtags about him. Still, many fans remain supportive finding the accusations exaggerated and that it simply shows he was in a relationship.

I personally feel that an artist personal business should be their personal business. We should only judge them their work such as singer not singer good or actor not acting good. The viewers should mind their own business on the artist personal life. Let them a normal human being.
