A new week finds actor Luo Yunxi and singer Zhou Shen fans squabbling over a new issue after the latter’s fans accused Luo Yunxi of going overtime during a music festival performance. Fans of Zhou Shen claimed this left his team scrambling to complete setting up with barely enough time to do so. Before the situation escalated into a full on feud, both stars issued a joint statement together with festival organisers saying these things happen and that everyone worked together to ensure things went on smoothly.
Accusations He Went Over Time
According to reports, Luo Yunxi was scheduled to go on during the festival’s finale with a timeslot of 20:00 to 20:30. Zhou Shen meanwhile was scheduled to follow close behind at 20:50. However, his fans allege that Luo Yunxi went past the scheduled 30 minute performance and ended his set 13 minutes over at 20:43. This left Zhou Shen’s team scrambling to set up with only 7 minutes left, they said.
Luo Yunxi’s fans meanwhile refuted the accusations and even provided a video with timestamps showing his actual performance lasted 34 minutes … just four minutes over and not 13 as claimed. They also pointed out that Zhou Shen too went a little over his scheduled 40 minutes, so it was like the pot calling the kettle black.
Although both stars later posed for a selfie together to show all was well between them and which Luo Yunxi captioned “meeting an old friend for the first time”, the issue continued to ferment between their fans. That’s probably what ultimately forced the organisers and the two performers to issue a joint statement calling for everyone to watch more rationally and to work together towards creating a more friendly and orderly atmosphere. “Thank you to every audience member for their understanding, and thank you to all the performers and their teams for their professional dedication.”
