Chinese reality show HAHAHAHAHA (哈哈哈哈哈) has just announced its comeback with its fifth season, to be aired jointly on iQIYI and Tencent Video. Fondly known as 5 Ha, the show has confirmed its core “brotherhood” cast—Deng Chao, Chen He, Fan Zhiyi, and Wang Mian—as they reunite for another wild road trip across China.
But with only four members, it looks like longtime castmates Lu Han and Gem (Bao Shi Lao Jiu) are not returning this season. Season 5 marks the first time Lu Han is absent from the HAHAHAHAHA lineup since the show’s debut, disappointing many fans. The singer-actor hasn’t updated his Weibo since January, despite various rumors surrounding him. However, his studio remains active, continuing to promote his other projects.
Meanwhile, another familiar face, rapper Gem, is also missing from the new season. In late 2024, he was briefly detained for public disturbance due to intoxication. He later issued a public apology, stating that he accepts all criticism and would take full responsibility for his actions.
