Previously, Lin Yi’s Studio announced that the actor was unable to attend an award ceremony hosted by SMG Shanghai TV for TV dramas because he was suffering from a bout of acute gastroenteritis and high fever. But in a positive turn of events, Lin Yi is thankfully on the mend. The 26-year-old actor took to social media to confirm he is doing so much better. “Sorry to worry you all. Thank you for your concern and words of encouragement. My body has recovered significantly and I will be able to go skiing soon (as well as entertain you guys)!” he said.
Speaking of skiing, the actor even managed to sneak in a plug for his ongoing drama Ski Into Love with Esther Yu Shuxin and all the hard work everyone put in to make it a success. “Ski Into Love is a ski-themed TV series that has never been seen in China before. The entire crew was very tired and exhausted after filming. To give audiences a legit snowy atmosphere and a real visual experience, the crew visited 8 cities in 4 months to complete the scenes. Though there might be many things we didn’t do well, please believe in our sincerity to promote winter and snow sports.”
A Skiing Novice and a Learning Experience
Despite playing a pro-snowboarder in the series, Lin Yi admits he’s still pretty much a novice. He said hitting the slopes made him very happy and gave him a whole new respect for nature. As for learning new skills, he admits it’s very tiring and difficult but appreciates gaining more knowledge and experience. “Regardless of how tired you are or the difficulties you encounter, as soon as you hit the slopes, the gloom in your heart will be swept away!” he gushed. It seems the sport has found itself its newest convert in Lin Yi who sounds like he’s very much hooked on the sport. Who knows, you might even bump into him hitting the slopes at a ski resort somewhere.
