TVB actress Kaman Kong is bidding adieu to her TVB family. After nine years under the network, the 30-year-old is stepping out of her comfort zone to explore other avenues.
In a bittersweet post on social media, the actress described her nine year career in TVB as “a journey full of gratitude, growth and memories.” Not only was it her place of work, it was also where she grew and learned her craft as an actress. “I’ve encountered so many unforgettable memories and people. This journey has taught me a lot, not only in terms of improving my acting skills but also in terms of valuable life experiences.”
A Journey of Growth and Gratitude
Kaman also didn’t forget to say thanks to colleagues and friends who supported and encouraged her along the way, giving credit where it is due. “I would like to thank ever producer, director, screenwriter, production team and makeup colleagues. Through your hard work, I was able to showcase my talent on the screen.”
Expressing her deep felt gratitude to upper management who helped hone and shape her career, she particularly thanked TVB executive director Catherina Tsang, who’s known more fondly as “Sister Tsang”, for letting her “invade” her office and letting her use up all the issues. To producer Kwan Wing-chung, she expressed her thanks for giving her the opportunity for audiences the get to know the real Kaman Kong. And then to producer Joe Chan, she said she was very grateful for his support when she was at her lowest.
Although she is leaving the Hong Kong network – TVB has been her home for close to a decade after all, this is not the end, but a new beginning. “A brand new Kaman Kong who will continue to bring you more surprises and touching moments will be meeting you all soon”.
