It’s been two years since Malaysian singer Eison Chai fell to his death, yet his widow Hitomi Wang remains single to this day. The Taiwanese actress recently shared on Threads that her family has been going through a tough time. “My father crashed his car and Halu my doggo son got sick, but it has also brought the family closer together”. Unexpectedly however, it was her father’s question whether she is dating someone that caught everyone’s attention.

It appears it isn’t just fans who are concerned about her finding a new partner, even Papa Wang is anxious. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old didn’t seem to be too bothered and brushed it off airily. “He suddenly asked me … do you have a boyfriend? Hey ~ I was caught off guard! You’re the one currently in hospital yet this is what’s on your mind? It’s of little importance” she jauntily said. Nonetheless, not everyone was amused.

A Netizen angrily commented “I’m curious and want to ask, won’t cheating make your partner’s depression worse?” The Netizen also lamented “Brother Ei, you died so miserably.” Not missing a beat, Hitomi clapped back rather cheekily saying: “I’ll say a prayer and see if he can come find you and stay for a chat.”

A Messy Affair that Ended in a Public Apology

Prior to marrying Eison Chai in 2020, Hitomi Wang was involved in a cheating scandal with Mars Ma with whom she’d had an affair with after playing a couple in the TV series Great Times. At the time, Mars was already married and have a pair of twins with his wife. When the affair was exposed – ironically by Hitomi’s relatives who harassed and confronted Mar’s wife which she then shared on social media as proof of the affair, both Hitomi and Mars were forced to apologise. Nonetheless, it seems Hitomi and Eison were able to work through their relationship issues as the couple married less than a year after the whole cheating scandal exploded.

In 2022, there were reports from Taiwanese media that the Malaysian singer was allegedly depressed prior to his death.
