Jordan Chan’s Son Is Looking and Acting More Like Him

Jasper Chan, the 11-year-old son of Hong Kong celebrities Jordan Chan and Cherrie Ying, recently appeared in a short clip where he introduced the city of Shanghai in fluent English. Jasper gained fame as a 4-year-old on the Chinese reality show Where Are We Going, Dad? Season 5, where he appeared with his singer-actor dad seven years ago.

Now a student at Yew Chung International School in Shanghai, Jasper Chan is preparing to enter secondary school. Although he no longer appears on shows, he stays connected with fans through social media. What surprised viewers in this latest video was not only his English but also his name change. Jasper, previously known by his Chinese name 陳胤捷 (Chen Yinjie), has now adopted 陳昊廷 (Chen Haoting), with Netizens noting that it’s definitely easier to write.

Back then, Jasper won hearts as a cheeky little boy who could barely speak properly. However, his growth in the public eye shows how confident he has become, even going up to interview strangers for his video. Jasper’s drawn attention for his hosting skills before, which they say clearly takes after father Jordan Chan in the way he talks and acts – not to mention his much-improved language skills—he speaks Mandarin, English, and Cantonese. He’s also looking lot more like dad.

Jordan Chan and Cherrie Ying, who married in 2010, have two kids – Jasper and their younger son nicknamed Ho Ho, born in 2020.
