Hairloss is the sure sign of aging that everyone dreads. Yet it seems this is something 61-year-old former actor Kwong Wa has already made peace with. In fact, the former Hong Kong actor appears to have embraced his baldness, even taking to social media to share snaps of himself showing off his new-ish bald look. I say new-ish because in recent years, the former ATV and TVB regular has been spotted all around town in either a hat or a bandana. This is probably the reason why everyone was speculating he’s losing hair.

Fast forward to last week and the actor who usually portrays emperors (or a monk) and historical characters in Hong Kong dramas such as The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow, Happy Ever After and Journey to the West bared his new look when he swaggered into the theatre sans hat or hair covering. Proudly showing off his bald ‘do au naturel he strutted into the cinema just like the emperors he used to portray. Sharing the photos on social media, Kwong Wa even cheekily referenced his old characters when he captioned it “all the nobles, please stand up. The emperor of heaven decrees”. Don’t you just love how confident and positive he’s being?

Thanks for the news, “The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow” is my go-to rewatch comedy- it’s a classic and treasure- so glad that Kwong Wa is still out there having a blast although he’s no longer acting! 🙂
