New couple alert? Are Karlina Zhang Jianing and Gao Zhiting the next couple to bring their onscreen romance offscreen? Both actors worked together on the modern drama Small Town Stories where they starred as Mu Di and Bai Lang respectively. Recently, the duo were papped cosying up to each other as they returned to their hotel after a night out at the cinema. Paparazzi also took photos of the pair riding to the airport and going through security checks together to leave Hengdian. “Looks like their relationship is stable,” captioned the paparazzo who took the footage as it was not the first time the pair were speculated to be dating.
As far as paparazzi “exposes” go, the timing is certainly not ideal especially when Karlina recently starred opposite Miles Wei Zheming in the romantic drama You are My Secret. Given the show’s popularity, their onscreen couple pairing has already attracted a fair number of shippers that news of Karlina’s budding romance might leave a few of their CP fans a little miffed. Nonetheless, many were also supportive, especially from some who are fans of Small Town Stories.
35-year-old Karlina and 29-year-old Gao Zhiting have a six-year age difference between them, though these days, jie di lian romances aren’t anything out of the ordinary. Gao Weiting recently starred opposite Ma Yili and Tong Dawei in the crime suspense thriller Interlaced Scenes.
