Look who’s Hollywood bound for her acting debut! Blackpink’s Lisa will soon be adding actress to her CV as she joins the third season of the hit HBO series The White Lotus. The Thai Kpop star will be credited using her real name Lalisa Manobal as she joins a new group of guests and staff in a different White Lotus resort in Thailand.
Much of the details regarding the plot and its characters are still kept under tight wraps, but we do know that production for the third season will already kick off this month. Lisa is said to be joining an ensemble cast that includes stars like Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, Michelle Monaghan, Tayme Thapthimthong, Carrie Coon, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Aimee Lou Wood just to name a few. Lisa is also the second Blackpink member to appear in an HBO series after Jennie who took part in last year’s The Idol.
The White Lotus is an anthology series following the foibles of the various guests and staff at the White Lotus resort chain. The show premiered back in 2021 and became an instant hit, garnering a multitude of awards that include 15 Emmy wins. The first installment took place in the White Lotus Resort on the beautiful island of Maui whilst the second was set in yet another White Lotus Resort in Sicily. For its third season, filming will take place in and around the popular Thai resort islands of Ko Samui and Phuket as well as its capital Bangkok.
Meanwhile, shrugging off the backlash from c-netz for her Crazy Horse performance in Paris last year , Lisa’s casting still saw her trending once again on the Chinese hot search.
