“Life begins at 40” seems true for Cha Chung Hwa as the 43-year-old Korean actress shared that she will marry her younger businessman boyfriend on October 27.
The good news was shared through the actress’ agency, IOK. In a statement, they expressed hope that fans would respect the non-showbiz boyfriend’s identity. The wedding is expected to be a private event. Cha Chung Hwa and her beau have known each other for a while before deciding to date and now that their love has stood the test of time, they are ready to take it to the next level.
Getting married at 40 may be a bit late for some but it’s not unusual. Especially since Cha Chung Hwa has always taken life at her own pace. Compared to many celebs who started climbing to stardom at an early age, she started her career as a theater actress at 25. Then, landed her first TV series stint in 2010. Since then, she has become a familiar face on the small screen, appearing in minor and supporting roles such as in Crash Landing On You, Mr. Queen, and Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Her most recent appearance was in See You in My 19th Life as the restaurant owner Kim Ae-kyung.
