Song Zuer Makes a Much Needed Donation After a Thoughtless Comment About Typhoon Doksuri Upset Many

Lareina Song Zuer truly is putting her money where her mouth is, donating some much needed supplies to disaster stricken areas affected. The 25-year-old actress recently came under fire when she jokingly made a comment about Typhoon Doksuri. She had taken a photo of the pouring rain and wrote, “The typhoon is coming to send us off on closing day!” Considering the huge swathe of death and destruction Doksuri had brought to the region, many were not amused by her thoughtless comment. Folks certainly didn’t hesitate to tell her off and demand an apology on behalf of friends and family who were severely hit.

It was thoughtless of me and completely disregarded how the typhoon severely impacted everyone’s life and work. I’m very very sorry.” The actress also promised to be more cautious of her words and actions in the future.

Backing Her Apology with Action

Well, it appears the actress is taking her apology even further by also donating supplies to areas affected. From photos shared by a Netizen that’s now circulating online, the donation boxes contained daily necessities such as toiletries, sanitary napkins, wet wipes , disinfectant, even mosquito repellant just to name a few. Whilst some were wary of this being a PR move to save her reputation, Netizens were much more willing to give her a pass saying her actions speak louder than mere words. “Donating supplies means she is sincere” said one Netizen. No doubt these boxes will be a big help to everyone receiving the supplies.
