Has it really been 18 years since most of us gushed over the arrogant hotelier played by Ming Dao in the 2005 drama The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog? Now, the 43-year-old actor is a happy father of not just one but two kids!
Ming Dao married Wang Ting-hsuan, a former member of the Taiwanese girl group Kiss, in 2019 and she gave birth to their son in April 2020. The actor has successfully kept his private life away from the public eye in the past years, so it was to his fan’s delight when he shared last April that he and his wife will be having a daughter.
In the snaps the actor posted on social media, one shows his daughter’s tiny hands wrapped around his finger, which he captioned, “Holding on to you tightly! I’ll hang out with you from now”. Congratulatory messages from his fans and celebrity friends like Yuan Hong and Monica Chan have been pouring online. But one particular comment sent yours truly and many others a wave of nostalgia because it came from none other than his leading lady Joe Chen who tells him to wait for her return to Taiwan so she can visit his family. The actor then replied that he will wait for her.
