And just like that, Gong Hyo-jin and Kevin Oh are now married! The couple held a low-key wedding celebration in New York today October 11th (October 12 in Asia) attended only by close family and friends. That includes the actress’ best friends Jung Ryeo Won and Uhm Ji-Won both of whom media reports flew in specifically for the couple’s big day.
In typical Gong Hyo-jin fashion, details about their wedding celebration are sparse. Management SOOP, the actress’ agency confirmed the news on her behalf but with minimal details as well. “Gong Hyo-jin and Kevin Oh took the precious first step in their lives together with the blessings of their relatives and friends on the morning of the 11th New York time. Thank you for your good wishes and encouragement for their future together.”
Meanwhile, even Kevin’s Instagram page didn’t have any photos or stories to capture the event. Alas, just so we won’t be feeling left out, the actress did make sure to give us a sneaky little peek at her wedding dress … (well part of it) before walking down the aisle. “My one and only … I’m ready!” she captioned.
The 42-year-old actress and her “one and only”, 32-year-old Kevin Oh went public with their relationship only in April of this year. In March, folks were all abuzz with marriage speculation after the actress caught the wedding bouquet in Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin’s wedding. This summer, the couple finally announced their intention to wed.
