So the question still remains open as to who will play the female lead in the Donnie Yen helmed Wong Jing produced Śakra 天龙八部之乔峰传. It is the big-budget film adaptation of Jin Yong’s Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils and focuses on The Legend of Qiao Feng. We know that 59-year-old Donnie will be playing the titular role of Qiao Feng. However, when it comes to his leading lady, Donnie and his team are still keeping mum. He did reveal in an earlier interview though that he’s not in favour of casting a “plastic beauty” and hopes instead to find someone with good acting skills and a pure temperament.
Online chatter this week initially pegged former TVB actress Grace Wong (王君馨) to play the role of A’zhu. However, Grace was quick to deny the rumours. She did confirm though that she does indeed have a role in the film. In fact, if you look a little more closely, Grace is wearing a shirt with the show’s poster in a selfie she recently posted whilst in Hengdian. However because she’s bound by an NDA, she can’t really say much. “I’m not playing the female lead. Don’t get me wrong. I’m very happy to have this opportunity to work with Mr Donnie and in such a classic story at that. He’s very nice but he also expects a lot from us. I hope this will be a great collaboration” said the actress.
Meanwhile, there’s also been some speculation that A’Zhu will be played by Yukee Chen who starred as Zhao Min in another Louis Cha drama adaptation –Heavenly Sword Dragon Slaying Saber. As for A’Zi, Cya Liu Yase (劉雅瑟) who won Best Actress for the film Limbo in the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards has been named by the rumourmill as the one who will take on the role.

There are girls like Cheng Xiao who I think doesn’t look plastic but she’s just not my type and I can’t get into her talent either, I don’t deny she’s athletic, but she doesn’t have that attraction.
Best bet will be Bao Shang En and Zhang Hui Wen, both are great dancers, and their looks are innocent like fairies. Zhao Lusi is good too, but I don’t think she will have any time.

If some PS beauty can claim to be all natural, why can’t some true natural beauty claim the truth?
It’s a little unfair bc many actresses are accused of PS but some never done it, while some did tons of PS but if they hire fans to deny everything then they just don’t have the PS reputation. The thing about PS is it doesn’t rely on true facts but how many fans and antis an artist has.
Example, Zhang Yuxi looks plastic but if you look at her mom, they look like twins, she truly inherited all those odd looking genes. Haven’t done PS.
Angelababy’s jaw changed after braces, that’s normal. I’m still not exactly sure if she done it but her skin are very natural without makeup. I don’t find her pretty but somehow tons of people do, that it arouses way too much jealousy. With that much haters, there’s no way she can convince anyone she’s all natural. And honestly her acting isn’t even as bad as people make it out to be either, but no one can argue against that number of haters.
Zhao Liying looks nothing like her past photos but she has more fans denying the true facts. They act like they don’t have eyes. She is also not dedicated. ABB got famous first, ZLY’s acting only copied after ABB’s acting, there isn’t even that much difference. She can earn a much better reputation by media manipulation.
Yang Mi looks exactly like her past photos, the only difference is in the jaw like ABB, she claimed to go through jaw operation. I also don’t know if she did PS but the change in her jaw isn’t even that huge to deserve such extreme hate like ABB. At least she doesn’t bribe the media.
Qin Lan was forced to do PS by removing her eye bags, but she is an extremely good actress. It’s unfair to us PS against her.

Aww to bad Grace is not playing Ah Zhu! She looks the part. I wonder who she will be playing. I really hope it’s not Yukee Chen, I’ve seen a few of her dramas and end up dropping them. Not sure who the other actress is. Anyways I’ll look forward to this film.
It looks like all these Chinese celebrities got some work done. HK Celebrities look more natural. Harwick L’s ex Yang Mi looks like she has lots of work done. I’ve only seen her older work she looks different from before, especially the square jaw and nose. Nothing wrong with it, since she looks better than her before. To be honest they all look better now.
