It looks like one of Donnie Yen and Cissy Wang’s “chicks” is ready to fly the roost. Already 18, their eldest Jasmine Yen was recently accepted into the Berklee College of Music as well as all the universities she applied for. Proud mum Cissy popped up a super cute post of the entire family hopping up and down with glee at the exciting news! “Congratulations to our Boboni!!!!” she wrote.
Meanwhile, ever the proud dad, Donnie Yen reposted the clip on his own page. “I always knew Jasmine, you have an amazing gifted musical talents since you were a little girl, but what made baba most proud was how dedicated and how you’ve worked hard to accomplish all the things you wanted to achieve, and now getting a scholarship to the dream school of yours is another proud moment for me, your mama, your brother, your Grandparents and the rest of the family who love your very much, congrats Nui Nui!”
Jasmine and her younger brother James both appear to share a love for music, proving that these two might well be on their way to a potential career in entertainment in the future. In fact, the sibling’s rendition of “Rewrite the Stars” back in 2018 when Jasmine was just 14 and James 10 wowed a lot of folks attending the event. Just like dad, these apples do not fall far from the tree.
