Happy birthday to Jay Chou who turns 43 today, January 18!
Of course his birthday won’t be complete without some of his showbiz friends wishing him a very happy birthday. As he would often do on this day, Jay’s longtime friend and lyricist partner Vincent Fang Wenshan who worked alongside him to produce a number of popular hits, popped up a photo on social media to wish him a very happy birthday. Standing between them as some of you might recognise is their NFT called “Punk Cat Sting” created by Vincent and inspired by one of their famous collabs Blue and White Porcelain 青花瓷 and a pink one. “Classmate Chou, happy birthday! Hope you like the gift!” he captioned.
Jay Chou celebrated this year surrounded by family and close friends who can all be heard singing Happy Birthday. But! Aside from toasting his 43rd birthday this week, Jay also celebrated his 7th wedding anniversary with his wife Hannah Quinlivan yesterday January 17 so I guess another round of congratulations are in order.
Last but not the least, TFBOYS’ Karry Wang Junkai who is a self professed Jay Chou fan, sent him a unique hand illustrated “cake” which some folks even thought was likely filled with Jay’s songs and favourite things – Mojito (2020), Starry Mood 星晴 (2000), Floral Sea 花海 (2008), Jay: his very first self titled album (2000), Confession Balloon 告白氣球 (2016) and the bottom layer, Pearl Milk Tea – one of the singer’s fave drinks. Jay even reposted this on his Instagram Stories, saying big brother got it!
