In a weird turn of events, whodunit series Who is the Murderer just apologised to actress Victoria Song Qian for improperly using an old airport photo of her in the show’s crime wall as the victim.
Aside from going head to head in the weekly charts now that Who is the Murderer and Luoyang are both airing, seems there’s a tiny bit of drama going on between Who is the Murderer and Luoyang star Victoria Song. Remember those boards you see in detective shows where they stick photos of the “vic”, the evidence gathered and potential suspects from which the detectives then try to connect the dots to get a conclusion? Well, the show unexpectedly used Victoria’s old airport photos as a photo of the victim in the story. People might say that it’s not that big of a deal, but seriously, how weird would it be to see your face and your photo as the murdered victim in a show?

Following the controversy, the show immediately issued a statement to take responsibility and to apologise for its staff “not doing a good job of checking”. As for the negative impact caused by the photo to Victoria’s image, they promised to replace the photo within today. “We sincerely apologise to Miss Victoria Song and to all her fans and friends who care about her for this. We will ensure this will not happen again in the future.”

These days, Who is the Murderer just can’t seem to get a break from the back to back issues cropping up what with the still fresh accusations of plagiarism earlier in the week and now this. Thankfully, the show’s production were quick to address the issue with a formal apology to Victoria and a promise to rectify the situation ASAP.

This who thing is is just odd.. but it’s okay Victoria is killing it in her new drama .. so fighting

I don’t care about the accusation about plagiarizing a fan in Luoyang, who cares? Is that fan even on sell for a high price? If it’s not and have no use maybe they should give it away for a reuse. I don’t get wtf all these productions have to be so extravagant when they can reuse so many things. Lots of props always look the same, esp women’s hair accessories and the vases on shelves. I don’t see why props should start to become a plagiarism issue. I think some who is just trying to find faults with Luoyang and the Luoyang casts.
But plagiarizing the way WITM is unacceptable, it’s the second time. Let’s see what’s next.
I don’t know if Victoria Song is hated because anyone acted alongside FSF is accused of being his ex.
Last time ZLY also used Michelle Chen’s poster from ROCH in Legend of Fei but there was no apology.

Wow, 1 sided much? Plagiarism is plagiarism. The designer created the design for the fan, just like cloth designer design clothes, bag, shoes, etc. copy is still a copy. If it’s just a prop, why couldn’t they come up with something of their own but have to copy something from the internet if it wasn’t so that things look pretty, expensive and exquisite on screen? So no, LouYang still did a crappy for stealing the design. The one thing I gave LouYang over Who is the murderer is that at least they only made 1 mistake, while WiTM keeps doing it. And their mistakes are seem more deliberate since oh come on, you click on those photos and it tends to have the actress/actor’s name attached to them. And the poster, the details is matching to the T, so they must have known.

FYI, there is no copy right on clothes, do your research.
Seriously
Maybe in communie counterfeiting China there isn’t, but in most civilized countries there are patent and trademark laws. So Nike, LV, Gucci, Blueberry, etc. would probably sue you and anyone if you were to use their distinct spefic one of the kind designs on your product. FYI use your brain 🧠 (even though it’s simple) once in a while.

@Seriously, if you really use your brain, you will sound like a man for once and others will respect your choice of gender LOL!
Seriously
Hmm, I don’t recall asking, needing, or wanting “respect” of my choice of gender, from you or anyone else? It says a lot about you, that you would use my gender or anyone else’s to weaponize as an insult. I tend to be harsh on others when they display severe levels of stupidity and idiocy but would not discriminate on gender. Tolerance is not one of your strong traits, that says more about you than me. Namaste 🙏

@Seriously, wait… Are you serious? How contradicting… because you were the one saying “plagiarizing” somebody else’s photos without permission is OK, and it’s petty if they complain. Even when they stole the photos to represent some victims.
Now you’re talking about how important trademark laws are? ROTFL! How embarrassing.
LMAO! Please use your brain next time. And NO it’s not OK just because this drama has ZLY in it LOL!
Seriously
God lord, you’re dumb, and even that is an understatement. You must not know the meaning of plagarize, google it. Your example, of said picture is not it. Did you even comprehend my original comment? I doubt it, but let me break it down for you, “This is some pettiness to the next level” this is in reference to the action of the prop person using Victoria Song picture. NOT anyone complaints, as you idiotically stated. Btw, I ALWAYS use my puny brain 🧠, you might to want use yours as often as you can. But this comment, YES it is 💯 ROTFL and LMAO! Namaste 🙏
Seriously
This is soooo effing HILARIOUS 😂, but the real crime is her (Victoria Song) acting, maybe that should be on the wall? This is some pettiness to the next level, the prop person 👌. And seriously who is pausing and magnifying the screens to see such details? It’s hard enough to get through some of these series, yet alone pausing to look for inane details.

I realized he is actually the designer but I still say the same thing, so what? Traditional Chinese arts like clouds, dragons, phoenixes, flowers, mandarin ducks, etc. all look the same. He reused those same art as well. There’s no copyright on them. If they sell props with his designs, I see why it can be a problem. It’s only one prop they’re using for a scene, he should be proud and just say it looks exactly like the one he made if people are interested then check out his channel and buy his products. It’s not impossible if he also plagiarized others unknowingly because he’s just arranging a bunch of traditional art pieces together like kids designing pictures by using stickers from the same sticker books.
Seriously
Umm… I don’t speak crazy, so I have no idea what in the world you’re talking about. You may want to organize your thoughts out before writing them, really no one is going to read your paragraphs of ramblings.
Veno
Oh sorry I mistook you replying to me about the props from Luoyang.
So you call that photo they used w/out permission a prop? Umm… sorry but you used the wrong word, please reconsider rewording yourself haha…
Are that one famous crazy fanboy of ZLY everyone talking about on Dramapanda? Thankgoodness I was informed about it.
It sounds like the only thing I may have offended you was bc this is a ZLY show and I said she likes stealing photos of actresses that are her ex’s exes.
If you want to say stealing another actress’s photo isn’t petty, I don’t see why me saying Luoyang props plagiraism is crazy speaking.
It’s shameless to use Victoria Song’s photo w/out permission and also use her as a victim, then wouldn’t let anyone complain. ZLY’s fanboys are one of a kind. Always jealous of others success. Obviously rightnow Luoyang is doing better and Victoria Song is getting more attention and it’s making you jealous.
Xena
That Seriously sounds like a jealous girl. She loves and protects anything ZLY related. YM is also accused of being FSF ex, I notice her also hating YM very much and always preys on her.
She could tell you nicely you misunderstood or doesn’t agree, but she felt offended when you wrote about ZLY hating Victoria Song and Michelle Chen.
Victoria Song is doing really well in Luoyang, ZLY fans hate to see others better at acting, when you see her saying Victoria Song’s crime is her acting you can already assume she’s a ZLY fan.
Seriously
Good lord, you people are dumb. If you’re going to talk about me get the facts straight. A) I am a male (I have stated SEVERAL times) B) I am neither “jealous” or a “fan/stalker” of anyone, especially Chinese actors (really who is dumb enough to idolize Chinese actors?). But carry on with your ramblings, they do amuse one. To think I live rent free in the minds of so many, but I suspect many of you have plenty of space in those minds. Namaste 🙏.LOL.
Seriously
什么?我告诉你他妈的笨蛋,我不会说疯话。你明白这一点,还是我需要像你一样写一篇文章,这样你才能通过你的愚蠢头脑来理解它?Namaste 🙏
Veno
Way to go Victoria! Jealous haters are ugly, no victory for them. Bye bye!
Anon
Laughing at another actress being bullied, because they can act better than your fave and your jealousy is acting up is effing HILARIOUS!
Seriously
Sweetie, you’re going to have to reply to my comment, if you want to insult me directly, otherwise people will just think you’re another crazy idiot, like me. And we know you’re just crazy. Namaste 🙏

C-netizens are famed for being eagle-eyed and must have plenty of time in their hands. To an outsider who lives in a foreign country, it appears that they have nothing better to do but to go through each frame of the drama and spot minutiae that an average watcher would most likely miss as they are following the plot of the drama. I’m constantly amazed about how they make controversies out of the littlest things…. There’s only 24 hours in a day, but they find the time to cook up the stupidest things and make them controversial. Amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
