That’s right. After resisting the trend to jump on the Instagram bandwagon, South Korean star Gong Yoo finally opens his own official account on the social media platform. His agency SOOP Entertainment thanked the actor’s fans who continue to support him and said the actor made the decision to open his own Insta account to give fans from home and abroad a peek at snippets of his daily life. _gongyoo_official_ is Gong Yoo’s very first account since debuting 20 years ago and has already garnered, as of press time, a following of 882K fans.
For his debut post, the actor uploaded a photo of a squid which albeit a wee bit unusual, is perhaps a nod to the worldwide Netflix hit Squid Game where he made a cameo appearance. The actor followed up the post with a photo of him showing off a jersey with his name and the number 30 emblazoned across the back.
Gong Yoo has reportedly just finished filming the Netflix original sci-fi thriller The Silent Sea opposite Bae Doo Na and Lee Joon which is expected to hit screens on Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Yoo-hoo I thought he was too scared to join! I’ve watched many of his past interviews of his where he said he wasn’t tech savvy and couldn’t be bothered. Anyway, this is exciting news. I wonder what kind of items he’ll post, lol!

Wow, never thought this would happen. I don’t follow any celebrity’s account, but sometimes it’s nice to pop on to get a glimpse of their lives behind the scenes, and it’s just nice for fans overall (hopefully). I think Andy Lau also resisted for a long time, too! LOL!
