Hong Kong-born American singer-songwriter Coco Lee recently took to social media to give an update on her mom’s condition. More than a month ago, the 83-year-old Mama Lee was attacked by a wild boar while doing her morning exercises. She was reportedly walking near her home in Hong Kong when the attack happened. Mama Lee sustained serious injuries having fractured her elbow and disc bones and underwent five hours of surgery.

Coco reveals that her mother is now recovering well after over a month of rehab. She writes, “For an 83-year old woman, this has been a difficult journey. She has to suffer through the pain of surgery and re-learn how to walk again. It’s so heartbreaking for the the 3 of us!” Coco’s grateful to her two sisters because the three of them encouraged and supported each other in taking care of their mother. Coco Lee also thanked netizens for their support as they even made a video to cheer on Mama Lee. She says they’ll be her mom’s source of motivation during her exercise sessions.
Finally, she says, “I wanted to thank you all for your love and support 🙇🏻♀️🥰 We are all very touched. I hope that whatever happens in the future, we can all help, support, and encourage each other! Unity is strength 💪🏼💪🏼 love you all forever.”
