Mango TV’s big reveal of their 30 female celebrities aged 30 and above lineup for Cheng Feng Po Lang De Jie Jie / Sister Who Rides the Wind and Waves (lit) 乘风破浪的姐姐 is finally complete! The show has been slowly teasing viewers this past week of the jiejies or older sisters who’ve signed up for this epic comeback survival show and let me tell you, you’ll be seeing a lot of familiar faces vying for the top spot!
To start off, let me just throw out the names of Meng Jia and Wang Feifei aka Jia and Fei formerly from the South Korean girl group Miss A. There’s also actresses Jin Chen and Wan Qian whom you would’ve seen from their dramas and Happy Camphost Wu Xin. And if that didn’t grab your attention, consider the full list of talented hopefuls – Aduo, Adia Chan, Hai Lu, Jin Chen, Lyric Lan Yingying, Claudia Wang Likun, Wan Qian, Zhang Meng, Jin Sha , Liu Yun, Shen Mengchen, Yisa Yu Kewei, Zhu Jing, Della Ding, Isabelle Huang Ling, Xu Fei, Cindy Yen, Kitty Zhang Yuqi, Eva Huang Shengyi, Zhang Hanyun, Wang Zhi, Michelle Bai Bing and Lisi Danni.
Let’s not forget the fearless older jiejies who gamely signed on for the show. Aside from 51 year old Annie Yi (I still can’t get over how good she looks) who we all know almost quit because of the show’s gruelling training, there’s also actresses Ning Jing and Christy Chung who are in their late 40s as well.
All in all an interesting combination, don’t you think? Which jiejie will you be rooting for?
