Well now talk about the perks of being a celebrity! With everything closed down and everyone’s summer travel plans pretty much down the drain all because of COVID-19, going to the beach is almost next to impossible for us city dwellers. Which is why actress Zheng Shuang is definitely one lucky duck with her new makeshift beach at home!
In a recent episode of Rang Sheng Huo Hao Kan 让生活好看, a variety show basically giving folks a “real” and unscripted behind the scenes glimpse at the celebs living alone, viewers were able to catch up with the actress and what’s new in her life. Seems she and her siblings were busy beavering away to transform her patio into a refuge worthy of Hawaii. “My time is limited due to work so I wanted to have a vacation spot in my own home” says the actress. Twenty or more 20kg bags of sand later plus some collective muscle power from her siblings and her at home DIY beach set up was born.
Looks good don’t you think? Housed under a clear skylight, her beach oasis had the requisite sand, recliner, umbrella and other beachy accoutrements that’ll leave you feeling a bit envious, although I have to say it could even be better with a mini inflatable(?) pool to combat this sticky heat upon us. Nonetheless, it’s definitely a big improvement from the empty unused space it used to be methinks. Perfect for that glass of iced tea or lemonade whilst kicking back from a week’s worth of work don’t you think? Now if anyone can just point me towards a supplier willing to deliver a truck load of sand …… that’d be great.
