Joe Chen and BF Alan Chen Immediately Quash Rumours After Joe’s Post Quoting a Breakup Song

Joe Chen and BF Alan Chen Immediately Quash Rumours After Joe
Seriously, what is it with the grief that some of actress Joe Chen’s fans have with her relationship with beau Alan Chen? Sure, the pair got together when they both participated in the reality dating show Meeting Mr. Right last year. And while the happy ending she got when she found her Mr. Right on the show had some fans dubiously questioning whether that ending was just scripted, the slew of gushy and sweet posts on their social media should be enough to clue you in to their happiness.

Joe shares some 5/20 day (the numbers sounds like I love you in Chinese) presents Alan got her.

Anyway, breakup rumours started buzzing yesterday when Joe quoted some lyrics on a late night post she wrote – “may you be good to yourself, may you meet a good person, may you live the rest of your life surrounded with warmth in the company of good people”. Frankly speaking it sounds like she’s just reinforcing a mantra she wants to live by, but I guess since the lyrics came from a song about breaking up, people were quick to speculate that she and Alan were splitting up and proceeded to flood the comments section of her post.

That post has now been deleted and long gone but in its place, the actress posted some snaps of the happy moments she and Alan shared which she captioned “Believe me, we can be happier, because innocence is just an attitude”. One of the photos was a screen grab of a story Alan immediately posted on his IG Stories refuting the rumours of them breaking up.

After being mocked for being single at 40 and called a “leftover over woman” (剩女) because of her life choices, surely the girl deserves some happiness without so many naysayers bashing her relationship? Let’s just be happy for her and stop constantly imagining a split-up waiting to happen.
