Autumn Cicada beats out Serenade of Peaceful Joy this week as the top placer online. It’s a spy drama that’s been on my watch list for years since it took that long to finally premiere. I haven’t had a chance to start watching so I can’t be a judge of quality but who’s to say no to Allen Ren Jialun in that all-white suit.
Serenade of Peaceful Joy retains its lead as the top drama on TV but ratings have dropped considerably to around 2% after a series high of 3% a month ago. There’s not much competition on primetime lately with the remaining two dramas mainly about promoting rural living in China.
Legend of Awakening is still the top web drama and it moves up to 3rd in online rankings just above Hunting which already ended its run on TV. Mystery of Antiques 2: Antique Bureau Endgame moves up a few spots from 9th to 5th. New premieres like The Twin Flower Legend, My Love, Enlighten Me and Good Wife join the top 10. Ren Jialun continues to take the crown as the top celebrity online while Arthur Chen Feiyu, Maggie Jiang Shuying and Jackson Yee enter the list in 5th, 6th and 9th.
