As the threat of COVID-19 slows in China, the extreme measures initially taken by the government to halt all filming activities have loosened. Work resumes after stringent examinations taken to ensure the safety of the cast and crew and it looks like some of the first dramas to halt production are back at work this month.
After filming was halted on January 27, Zhao Liying shared a sneak peek of the clear skies on the set of Legend of Fei yesterday with the caption, “climbing high and looking afar, yea!” In case you didn’t notice, her studio drew an arrow pointing to Zhao Liying’s precise location that shows her atop a high structure on a safety harness. She’s no doubt back to doing stunts for her role as the wuxia heroine Zhou Fei. Legend of Fei also stars Wang Yibo, Zhang Huiwen, Chen Ruoxuan and Zhou Jieqiong.
Meanwhile, Like a Flowing River 2 was the first drama to suspend filming activities in response to the coronavirus outbreak. After filming was stopped on January 26, it has also been greenlit to resume work. Wang Kai shared a photo he took at the start of the week – also of the clear blue skies since it’s probably not in their best interest to divulge anything more about the drama. His studio then shared an actual photo of the actor on set. Like a Flowing River 2 also stars Yang Shuo and Dong Zijian.
