There are two things that most women are uncomfortable revealing about themselves – age and weight. For celebrities, the latter might even be a sensitive topic but Yang Mi clearly doesn’t think so.
The lovely actress boldly posted a picture of a weighing scale stating her weight which is 45.20 kg. Wow, less than a hundred pounds? With the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s no secret that she’s been cooped up at home like many people in China and has even been cooking scrumptious meals but how she maintained a slim figure is a mystery to me.

Many applauded the actress for her discipline while there are those who are worried that she might be starving herself just to get the perfect body. Personally, I think as long as she’s healthy, her weight shouldn’t matter. And who knows? Her married life with Yehua might gain her some belly fats. Heh. (Eternal Love fans would surely get this. *smirk*)

K… Ofc it's easy to reveal something like this when you're skinny. Anyways, many regrets for lost seconds reading this.

Rofl then dont read. C-stars are all in house arrest so getting news about them is nice to hear

I kind of hate how judgmental our society is when it comes to the numbers on the scale. As long a your physically healthy and in good shape. Your weight on the scale shouldn't matter. Our bodies fluctuate between 5 kg per day.

Are you kidding? That would be a scary thing if one's weight fluctuates 5 kg/day – it approximately equals to 11 lbs per day. That's a lot.

When you weight differs 5 kilos per day you should make an appointment with a doc since you seem to have edema or other serious condition probably heart.

This site is a YM hater, always attacking her about her weight for the thousandths time already. Oh her weight is such a mystery, it's so scary…etc.
How come it's not any other actresses? There are others who are way way way MORE skinnier and scarier than her.
And how come when somebody has more meat then they are called FAT?

What … WHAT?! How in the world is she only 45 kilos and she's 5'6??? WTF??? (sorry for kind-of swearing). I'm at a loss for words. I am literally thirteen, 5'1 and 48 kilos. -.-
And guys, I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry for her health. If you ask me she hasn't been trying to lose weight, because unlike some other celebrities her weight actually fits her body. As in, it looks NATURAL, you know what I'm saying? I guess you can say she was born like that. 🙂

@Man Man: I sense some jealously here. Back off.

I'm a big YM fan, but I don't think they are exactly ridiculing her for her weight in this site. I feel like readers got the wrong message. I agree with #4 … it looks fitting for her, not scary at all! I guess the reason for this article was just to keep us updated with her, seeing as how popular she is and all.

Say what you're saying now to any other idol you love, they are all the same too. I don't understand how being 1KG is scary IF everyone is 1KG in this world? You got problems because you can't be 1KG. What I'm saying is, She's not the only Chinese Actress with this weight so you are overreacting too much.
😛
How is this even a new thing to anybody? Even if she doesn't reveal her weight we always see how everybody's weight are so similar to hers on Television.

I want to believe that she's healthy at this weight, but I am having a very hard time buying it. I'm her height and age, and my doctor had a freak-out the last time I went below 110 lbs (50 kg). She started lecturing me about thyroid problems and reproductive health issues and bone density, and she only calmed down when I promised to gain at least 5 pounds. It was annoying, but I got it—your body needs to maintain a certain percentage of fat to function the way it's meant to.
My concern is if that we keep normalizing the things that celebrities do to remain appealing and thus employable, we are effectively forcing them to put their health on the line for the sake of their careers. I mean, it was only a few months ago that Sandra Ma was given a mountain of crap for a single belly roll. A BELLY ROLL. WHILE SITTING.
And I'm also concerned about what we are doing to ourselves. I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw this post on Weibo, my first thought was, "Ugh, I need to lose weight." I weigh 117 lbs (53 kg) now and I exercise occasionally (though not as much as I ought to), so I shouldn't be feeling this way. None of us should. It's not okay.

I don't get why some people here love to use the word "she" "she" "she" and not "everyone"??????
It's annoying. You're trying to make it sound like YM is this one standardized woman everyone is trying to copy.
Telling you what? She's not the queen of skinniness. There are still way more skinnier C-actresses that are more popular than her, and they used to be fat but lose weight through starving (and nobody ever think that was scary).
YM is naturally skinny since young, same as Yu Zheng's actress Wu Jin Yan everybody loves to bully when she is a freakin dancer who maintained her own weight and muscles.

…I don't understand what you're saying. This is not an attack on Yang Mi. No one is saying Yang Mi is the beginning and end of the problem, because obviously she isn't—she's one of thousands of actresses trying to survive in an industry that holds actresses to punishing beauty standards. But I'm discussing Yang Mi because THIS ARTICLE is about Yang Mi and her weight, not about Wu Jin Yan or anybody else.

Well, I guess what ur saying is right, but for her height it IS a bit weird.

5.a you are a bit wrong on this one. Yang Mi is one of the most admired actresses and among the three most popular in China so yes most Chinese people would see her as their role model and want to be just like her.
The part I agree with: Yang Mi isn't skinny because she lost weight. Like you said again, she was born naturally slender. But I think you maybe misinterpreted what the purpose of this article was for. Again, Yang Mi is crazy popular, so of course when there's news regarding her people would LOVE to hear it, anything please. I know this because one of my friends is a fan and I quite like her as well.

One thing I like from Yang Mi is her body shape .. She is light, but does not look thin and have good body shape. in my opinion Yang Mi's body shape is the best.
