What if you’re given the chance to go on a virtual adventure, will you take it?
As a big fan of Isekai anime (the kind of anime where the characters are summoned to a fantasy world), To Get Her 惹不起的殿下大人 has already secured its spot in my heart. The 30-episode drama follows a story of a young couple whose love is tested in a strange way.
Famous idol Tu Siyi, portrayed by Tang Xiaotian, tries a video game he’s endorsing. Sounds fun, huh? But little does he know that the game would trap him inside and until he finishes his quest as the third prince who needs to be come king, going home is not a choice.
Back in the real world, his girlfriend puts on the headgear to enter the virtual reality to save him. Huang Riying plays the determined Lin Zhengzheng who becomes her boyfriend’s enemy in the game as the third princess. Uh-oh. But that’s not all, aside from taking up the role of the villainess, she also finds out that Tu Siyi has lost all his memories from the real world! Ugh. But one thing hasn’t changed: his love for music. Will this be the key to bridge their broken relationship and for Tu Siyi to regain his memories?
The cast also includes Lu Yunfeng, Lin Fengsong, Zeng Keni, Jin Luying, Fan Leiyi, and a special appearance by Kenji Chen Borong.
This really looks and feels like a live-action anime. It’s also a drama from the same people behind Accidentally in Love which I’m currently watching on Netflix (and so far enjoying) so I have high expectations for this one. I’m just curious about the English title since it’s the girl who’s going on an epic journey to save the boyfriend. Shouldn’t it be To Get Him?
