Li Landi is like us when we’re trying to diet: You eat all green, but what do you know? You just don’t lose the weight. The actress recently addressed comments about her seemingly “rounder” look in the ongoing series Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty 梦回 where she plays a 21st-century girl who finds herself transported back to the Qing dynasty.

A behind-the-scenes clip of actor Xin Yunlai having a hard time carrying the actress and resorting to the help of two crew members and a ladder just to carry her has been making the rounds online. Ooof.
During a livestream, Li Landi admits that she did look a lot rounder then compared to how she looks now and explained that because they were filming at such a large scale, her days and nights felt like a blur. This of course took a toll on her body as she began to experience hormonal imbalance. She adds that most importantly, she actually stuck to eating steamed veggies throughout filming to the point that she felt like she must have already turned green.

However, no matter how much she tried, SHE JUST WOULDN’T LOSE WEIGHT. But when filming finally came to an end and she tried the same diet again with some added workout, she lost weight. Li Landi cheekily whined about her frustrations as she wondered why she could not lose weight when she needed to the most.

It seems the talk about her weight has brought on some amusement at least. Li Landi came across a Weibo post about it that cued classical pianist Yundi Li (李云迪) instead of Li Landi (李兰迪) since there is only a one character difference in their names. She jokingly said to leave Yundi Li alone and direct the comments at her. It looks like she’s made a new friend as well as both have started following each other on Weibo.

She looks absolutely beautiful and healthy. Women need some extra fat to look youthful.

She's a completely healthy weight. Chinese netizens' opinions on weight are not to ever be taken seriously.

Ridiculous she isn't fat at all. When Liu Shi Shi was in Scarlet Heart people were upset how she's not as pretty as she used to be with the baby fats. Having some meat around the face like Landy is very beautiful. Who wants their face to swell and deflate like a crushed water bottle? Her weight is just perfect. I wouldn't wish she gain more or lose more weight.

Umm…. Seriously? Fat? Do these people even know what a double chin looks like? She looks great and actually healthy. So many Chinese actresses are thin to the bone and somehow that's considered acceptable.

Exactly (though I wouldn't say Chinese actresses are thin "to the bone". Only one or two of them are.) Her round face is really cute anyway and is perfect for her role in Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty. I haven't actually watched the drama, but I can tell she is probably supposed to be acting as a sweet, playful girl 🙂

It's really sad to see the pressure celebs put on themselves. How can one eat steamed veggies for a long period of time? I hope they are taking care of their bodies instead of trying to meet the impossible beauty standards.

She starred in Monster Killer II or III right? She looked PALE, not talking about looking lighter skin or whiter, I'm talking about the pale definition like being a bit sickly or weak. Hopefully that was make up and her not being sick. I actually like her a lot with nude makeup though, she looks good pale tbh.
I like her weight the way she is so hopefully she understands and don't make herself look ugly. Just look at Zheng Shuang, skinny to that point is UGLY. Having meat around the face is really pretty, it makes a person glow youthfully. She doesn't even have double chin and I'd seen skinny girls with double chin before, and that is super cute. The only time double chin looks bad is when a person is overweight and she is not even close to the word fat.

One is already one too many.

there is nothing wrong with her body at all I've seen people on other sites calling her 'chunky' how on earth is she 'chunky' it's called having meat on your bones.

Sad and cruel criticism. She is slim and looks beautiful and healthy. Too many C-actress now are little more than skin and bones starving themselves away on dangerous and restrictive diets just to look as skinny as possible. It's a very disturbing trend.

Aww, Li Landi still looks good even if she is not Thin to the bones. Jealous netizens!
That clip though of the two staff carrying her, who the heck leaked that. At least, she is taking it all in stride and can poke fun at herself. She is still so young, is she even 20 yet? The last I heard, she just got accepted into college, so I thought she was still around 18 or 19. She is a very good actress and I have no doubt she will be the next Queen of acting.
I have to say, at least, she is paired with someone complimenting her age as she is still so young and not paired with someone that can be her father.

she is 20 and Wang An Yu is 21

In all honesty I felt like it had more to do with her hair style.
