Aaaaaaaand that’s a wrap for police drama Hunting 猎狐! Another collaboration amongst Wang Kai, Angel Wang Ou, Hu Junand Liu Yijun, most of whom were together in The Disguiser. The police drama takes viewers along a wild ride as they go on a “fox hunt” in pursuit of apprehending criminals in China and overseas.
From the BTS shared by the production on their social media, viewers can look forward to being treated to stunning scenes from the Kenyan countryside! Both Angel and Wang Kai even shared amazing shots from the Masai Mara. So lucky!
In the past two years, Wang Kai only has one drama out per year. But while it may be few, his projects sure pack a punch since they’re big hits amongst viewers. Let’s hope that Hunting continues that trend. It’s not slated to come out this year though so in the meantime, if you haven’t yet, check out the cast in their other drama together, The Disguiser. In other Wang Kai news, there seems to be another malicious rumour floating around the internet of the actor supposedly appearing in a video getting intimate with another man. According to reports, the screenshots are quite blurry but some netizens are saying that the person bears a big resemblance to the actor. Poor Wang Kai. He’s been keeping his head down and working extra hard filming his three upcoming dramas Held in the Lonely Castle, Hunting and will probably start filming season 2 of Like A Flowing River next, so he doesn’t really need this kind of distraction. Rest assured though that the actor is not taking these allegations lightly and fighting back. If his social media post is any indication – “Late autumn has arrived and water levels are getting shallower, waiting for the hand of law to fall, and the truth to come to light”, sources of the rumour might be getting a visit from the law real soon. His studio also released a statement “ Justice will prevail, cracking down on these rumours”.
