“Since 1996, we have known each other for more than 23 years! Full of memories, our friendship is priceless! (Our absent classmates are busy, but they will be appearing next time)”
As far as reunions go, they’re usually cringe worthy but a necessary part of life. But not so much if you’re from batch 1996 of the prestigious Central Academy of Drama. No no, the reunion of batch 96 is on a whole new level altogether, almost resembling an awards show of sorts (minus the glamorous gowns) with the number of showbiz notables in attendance.
Renowned actress Zhang Ziyi who counts herself an alumnus of CAD’s batch 96 recently shared photos of the group’s reunion after 23 years, with everyone – that’s Chen Minghao, Qin Hailu, Zhang Tong, Zeng Li, Mei Ting, Li Min and Tian Zheng, all smiling happily and hamming it up for the camera. Other notable graduates of ’96 like actor Liu Ye (of Balzac et la Petite Tailleuse Chinoise, Purple Butterfly and Cock and Bull fame) and actress Hu Jing (In the Name of the People) were sadly absent.
The years have definitely been kind to these actors who all look like they haven’t aged at all! I mean, us normal folks show our years and age “gracefully”, but these folks seem be frozen in time. Granted they’re celebrities with the income, health and fitness professionals, and sleep to ensure they’re looking fab, but I just hope that when the time comes for our own high school reunions that we’ll all look as fresh and fabulous as this lot!
Here are some more fun shots of the crew goofing off –

What?? This is the first time I've ever heard anyone said reunion is usually cringe worthy.
The writer must be a loser and have no friends to say thing like that. Reunion with friends are FUN.
