If I’m being completely honest, moving on from The Untamed 陈情令 took weeks of exhausting anything and everything that I could find about the show on Youtube. And just when I thought I had moved on…

The Untamed held a fanmeet in Bangkok, Thailand on September 21. The cast in attendance includes Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Yu Bin, Wang Zhoucheng, Liu Haikuan, Cao Yuchen, Song Jiyang and Chen Zhuoxuan. Actor Bian Jiang who did the voice dubbing for Lan Wangji also came.

That’s the main cast and more since Song Jiyang and Chen Zhuoxuan from the Yi City arc are also there. It’s unfortunate that some key characters are missing though like everyone’s favorite Shijie played by Xuan Lu along with actors Zhu Zanjin who played Jin Guangyao, Wang Haoxuan who played Xue Yang and Ji Li who played Nie Huaisang.

As a typical fanmeet activity, there were rounds of fun and games. Two teams were decided by drawing lots and my fangirl heart swelled when Wen Ning and Uncle both ended up on Xiao Zhan’s team while Lan Xichen ended up with Wang Yibo. The boys competed in a short obstacle course and also played the chicken leg game which everyone clearly suited up for in the most unimaginable outfits.

The night culminated with individual performances from the cast, many of whom sang their character’s theme song for the drama. Technically-trained Song Jiyang gave a moving dance performance and even put on the blindfold as tribute to Xiao Xingchen.
Finally, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo performed a duet of the main theme song Wu Ji 无羁.

As expected, the stadium was filled with a lot of screaming at the sight of that much pretty. Still, I’m sad Shijie wasn’t there, she certainly deserves a spot. If you weren’t one of the lucky ones who attended, fortunately, there are many kind souls sharing videos on Youtube.

Not gonna lie… it's been a month since I finished The Untamed and I STILL haven't moved on yet! I'm so guilty of already watching all the clips available for this fanmeet… and totally gasping over that "kiss" (https://youtu.be/D7Gq90CYinQ?t=19) before realizing it was just angles >_<

I understand your feelings and experience 100%. Seeing the guys in those crazy costumes makes me free bad for them. That is fan service, all part of their job…. But I really hope those fans knows which lines not to cross. These artist have their private and personal life too.

The moment when Xiao Zhan hushed the public, the realizing what power he has over them he rewarded them with the most luminous smile ever, was the best thing I've ever seen in my life. LOL!

So many people got hooked on 'The Untamed' and cannot come out. When comparing the production quality of this drama with others, it is definitely below par but one thing it has that others lack is the 'it' factor. Something that cannot be easily put into words. It is an unforgettable experience watching the drama, you don't realize the depth you fall into until the show's over.
I remember the director's weibo post that it has been a year now and he has not come out of the show. When asked recently, XZ said that 'The Untamed' was the show that was the hardest for him to move on afterwards.
This show is highly addictive, BEWARE! Recommending normal and sane folks to stay away! Obviously, there are exception, if you're the 5% that have immunity.

LOOOOLLLL at the guys in those costumes! I wonder if sometimes these idol actors look at themselves having to do these ridiculous things for fanservice and think this is not what I spent years studying and training for.

Quality below par? What u talking about. The Untamed was the first drama I watched on a big screen living room TV (I usually watch dramas on my laptop or tablet). OMG I could not believe how good it looked. This one of those rare dramas that should be viewed on a cinema sized screen!

I loved that moment too! It was like he was taken aback that the hushing actually worked lol. He's really got he brightest smile ever.

Not quality of the video… I'm sure she meant the CGI and other technical aspects, which I agree aren't the best but it totally doesn't matter at all bc the story is so good and actors are on point.

Actually he smiled because during that moment of silence, someone closer to the front of the stage could be heard screaming "Wang Yibo loves Zhan." There are some video clips were you hear that scream and Xiao Zhan smiling right afterwards.

Haha Wang Yibo was totally not happy. When the MC asked him whether he can still dance in the green costume, he replied saying that wearing this outfit, he doesn't want to dance at all.

Is it just me or did Wang Yibo lip sync his song? His voice just seemed unnaturally steady for a live performance. I still love the guy though!

There are many below par things I see. Even AvenueX agrees, like she said in some videos, Don't want to be mean but pretend if you're in acting school and you shot something like Untamed for your school project your teacher will yell at you like a fool. I really agree. Putting CGI aside, just focus on the story, the pacing is just way too slow. They only have a few points they want to show the audience but this show is long. If I have to critique this episode by episode, I will not give it a very good grade. If I rate the story overall, it is decent. But it is not acceptable to skip everything in every other episode and only like a few episodes where the main story is shown there.

He is singing live. There are few words that were sung wrong.

he uses a backtrack and sings over it. the other guys (well at least Xiao Zhan and Wang Zhuocheng since I’ve only heard their perfs) sing completely live

Does anyone know about detail for fanmeeting or concert in China?
