Bai Lu whom we all got to know for her kick arse female roles in The Legends and Arsenal Military Academy reveals a different side of herself with a refreshing drama about first love. From the posters shared by the show, the actress looks like she’ll be playing a bubbly and adorable character this time around. And come to think of it, I do believe Lucky’s First Love might just be the first time we’ll be seeing her in non-period garb!
In the 24 episode series adapted from An Siyuan’s novel The World Owes Me A First Love, Bai Lu plays a kind, honest and optimistic 24 year old artist named Xing Yun who finds herself working hard in a gaming company in support of her black bellied boss, Xia Ke, played by The Eternal Love Season 2 actor Xing Zhaolin. Taking advantage of a company-wide selection for a dating program that will be created by their company, Xing Yun who’s been single for life embarks on a series of blind dates.
With Xing Yun going on dates and meeting other men, Xia Ke finds himself feeling threatened, which finally opens his eyes to his true feelings for her. They say that lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man. Will Xing Yun be that woman for Xia Ke? And will our “single for life” protagonist finally find her other half in him? The series also stars actresses Chen Haolan and Liu Ruoyan together with actors Zhai Zilu, and Huang Jidong.
