Is Mercury in retrograde or something because the dust has barely settled on the messy high profile Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun “divorce” when the sad news of another one drops down on our laps. Malaysian singer and Mandopop star of our childhood Fish Leong was in Taipei yesterday to promote her new album, but attendees got more than they bargained for when the singer also confirmed her divorce to Taiwanese businessman Tony Chao.
“Thank you everyone for your support, I’ll confirm the question on everyone’s minds – I have signed the divorce agreement with Mr. Chao, but there are still some procedures that need to be finalised.” The rumblings that the two were separating because of Tony Chao’s cheating had been brewing for weeks but both Fish and her husband denied the rumours at that time. When reporters pressed her about the cheating being the cause of the separation, the singer kept silent for a few seconds and declined to comment. Fish also adds that the couple had been separated prior to August but will be sharing custody of their child Anderson together. Guess Taiwanese media were bang on the money when they first reported it last month.
Of course being an album launch, viewers were treated to a mini concert of Fish belting out a few songs from her The Sun Also Rises new album. But you can see the singer was still shook up over the developments when she reportedly got a little emotional and teared up while singing.
Fish’s good friend Taiwanese singer Christine Fan also got caught in the divorce intrigue when her manager let slip a comment last month that Christine already knew there was trouble brewing in paradise early on. Since Fish herself did not make any comments at that time, media took the comments as Christine’s indirect confirmation of the couples split!

Some Chinese celebrities like from HK, China, Malaysia, (not sure if TW did that before), etc. They picked some funny/weird English names like this singer (Fish). I think someone else with the 1st named “Coffee”. Please stop doing that
… There are plenty of nice names out there for ladies & gentlemen.
