After heating up the summer with their respective hit dramas, Yang Zi is back in the small screen with the drama My Mowgli Boy while Xiao Zhan will be appearing in the big screen with the movie Jade Dynasty.
It’s only been two weeks since the cast announcement for The Oath of Love 余生, 请多指教 and we’re already getting a first look at the cast who are in the thick of filming. It certainly feels like they’re promoting this at lightning speed, which is not surprising given the popularity of both leads.
The new stills show Yang Zi as the daughter whose father has cancer. It’s the hospital visit that forms her connection to Xiao Zhan’s character who’s a doctor. Yang Zi can surely play the bright and cheery university student, but her ability to convey emotions without the need for words amazes me. That very first photo of her leaning outside the door in the hospital corridor, I felt that.
Meanwhile, Xiao Zhan plays the doctor who is devoted to his patients. He may seem like a strict person on the outside who puts his work above all, but he is actually warm, loving and sincere. And might I add, he makes one very handsome doctor!
I’m really more into historicals than romance dramas but who am I kidding, I love both leads and I’m anticipating this, big time.

So fast. Maybe they want to get so many benefit by airing this faster since the male lead xiao zhan still at very hot or there are still many obsessive fans because of the untamed. I know he is a good actor but this fame is still too miracle, as long as the actor is him, The fans would support him in everything. Honestly, Their collaboration surprised me cause xiao zhan can be said newcomer in acting after all many of his drama hasn't been aired yet(only two, 1, in oh my emperor (as second male lead or support character) and 2, it is as male lead in bromance drama the untamed that already aired. but as i think more, it seems i've ever read about yang zi that she seems good at choosing script or male lead so she could be where she is now. Like ashes of love when she introduces deng lun to the director of ashes of love as her male lead. Maybe this is gonna be super hit romance drama this season. (I think like that cause yang zi drama that hasn't been aired or maybe hasn't filmed yet still so many, the count of episode is many there seems to reach 60 episode be it maybe her next drama in fantasy historical genre or modern drama, and one of her male lead is li yi feng. So it just suprised suddenly she announces another new drama with xiao zhan when she has so many drama that hasn't been aired yet.)

There's a drama of hers that is going on now (My Mowgli Boy). There's no official announcement about her drama with Li Yi Feng.
The Oath of Love (with Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan) will probably only air next year. It's normal for chinese dramas to release photos of a drama when it's in the filming period.
